While I was shoveling snow on Christmas Eve I was suddenly hit with the unbelievable truth of Christmas- Christ who was God came into this world so that we might become alive in Him and glorify His Father! The truth of the gospel is astounding!
This truth hit me unlike ever before- and it was while I was doing a very common everyday task. It was into that same kind of mundane that our savior came. On a very common night, in a very common place, a very uncommon thing happened- Emanuel. God with us.
Lord, Thank you that in the very mundane aspects of life you still choose to teach our hard hearts beautiful truths. Your Son is truly the greatest gift of all.
